Businesses in serviced offices in Cardiff might benefit from the use of smartphones, comments from one expert have implied.
Heather Mclean, editor and founder of smartgorillas.com, a website that provides news on mobile services, stated smartphones have "revolutionised" offices for small organisations.
By giving companies access to applications while on the move, the devices enable firms "to always be available to their customers", she said.
"[This] improves customer-relationship management, so they can manage their business much better with the features and functionality that smartphones give them," Ms Mclean explained.
And she predicted the technology will improve over the next three years, with the phones changing significantly to become more durable.
Therefore, organisations in serviced offices may wish to use the handsets to improve customer relations and management.
The latest Quarterly Survey of Small Business in Britain, carried out by the Open University Business School, Barclays and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, found 48 per cent of emerging firms in the UK are using smartphones for work-related email or internet use.
