Allowing staff at serviced offices in Northampton flexible working hours could help them to be more productive, it has been suggested.
Dr Ken Beaumont, principal consultant and manager at Workforce Logistics, explained how employees are more likely to focus if they can fit their job around their lifestyle.
He suggested that giving individuals the chance to arrive at the office around a start time could help make life easier for staff.
"It would make an awful lot of difference [such as a] reduction in stress and that kind of thing. Even very small changes are welcomed by employees," Mr Beaumont stated.
Good employers would allow people to work flexible hours provided it did not affect their business, he added.
His comments follow the announcement in September by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills that the government intends to extend the right for parents to request flexible working to those with children up to the age of 18.
