Employers may want to be kinder to their staff operating out of serviced offices in Cardiff after one expert has described how being nice can reap rewards.
In an interview with HR Magazine, chief executive officer of Pacific Direct Lara Morgan explained how recognising workers' efforts can benefit companies.
She suggested that staff will be more inclined to make a contribution to their organisation if they are treated kindly by bosses.
It was recommended that people carry out appraisals as "if you do them the right way, with career development and reviews, your team will stay with you".
Ms Morgan also advised employers to train their staff up and set them challenges in order to see them "grow".
Showing a little kindness is the best way to get a positive response from individuals and is more likely to result in them being happy to carry out tasks, she added.
A recent study by Advantage Professional company Crone Corkhill revealed that money incentives can also help to encourage people to show an interest in their place of work.
