Businesses based in serviced offices may have seen the best of the economic recovery for the time being, it has been suggested.
According to the latest Markit/CIPS Purchasing Managers' Index, the service sector in the UK lost further growth momentum in June as new business continued to increase at a below par pace and activity increased at its slowest rate for ten months.
Vicky Redwood, consumer and debt specialist for Capital Economics, said: "I think the Budget probably had some effect and I think some firms in the survey did cite the VAT rise as one reason why they were a bit less upbeat."
She added the headline Activity Index has been slowing for around three to four months and tentative evidence suggests we have seen the best of the recovery for now.
Firms may find a serviced office can help them prosper during the economic downturn as Offices Space in Town client Decipher Impact recently stated its spell at Temple Court, Cardiff has benefited business and reduced its workload.
