Companies operating out of serviced offices in Northampton may want to consider investing in mobile marketing.
According to director of mobile and operations at the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) Jon Mew, more and more individuals are using their phones to access the web.
He described how handsets are becoming an increasingly popular way to find out information, with 23 per cent of consumers relying on the devices.
"Mobile is about ten per cent of digital spend now, so whilst the growth is really exciting, what's even more exciting in a way is the opportunity," Mr Mew commented.
The expert added that there are "massive" prospects for companies that invest in marketing their wares through such technology.
It was suggested that mobile phones are "driving" a change in consumer behaviour.
A recent survey carried out by the IAB and PricewaterhouseCoopers found that UK mobile advertising grew by 116 per cent to £83 million in 2010.
