Small energy businesses have been found to be helping drive industry standards, news which may be of interest to similar companies operating out of serviced offices in Northampton.
Research carried out by independent analyst Datamonitor has revealed that specialist providers are boosting the market by offering lower costs that lead to the field becoming increasingly competitive.
David Mayne, energy market analyst at the organisation, said: "Small suppliers have entered the market and have been able to set new benchmarks in service delivery by focusing on a small customer base and being able to react quickly to customer demands."
He added that these initiatives prompted larger companies to strive to improve their performance in order to avoid being left behind.
It was suggested that these developments would only serve to provide the consumer with a better standard of service from energy suppliers.
