People looking for jobs in serviced offices in Northampton may wish to ensure they are selling themselves effectively on their CVs, following advice from one expert.
Peter Panayotou, senior consultant at The Write Stuff, noted a lot of jobseekers often struggle to fill in this document properly.
They find it "difficult to get the balance right" and "sometimes need a third party to look at it a little bit more objectively", he noted.
Although some individuals make "incredible claims" about their capabilities, they don't realise this can seem unrealistic to potential employers, he declared.
However, others often fail to promote their achievements concisely and might not be hired for jobs they would otherwise get, he continued.
"That's frequently why people will come to someone like me," the expert concluded.
Mr Panayotou had previously asserted that people should expect to have to produce evidence to support claims made on a CV.
