IT companies operating out of serviced offices in Northampton may be increasing their numbers of staff after it was suggested the sector is "very busy".
Dan Hawes, co-founder of the Graduate Recruitment Bureau, explained that a number of fields are "leading the way" as the economy becomes more stable.
"We are leaving the recession behind us and we are slowly noticing growth in different areas … like financial services, investment banking and the like," he stated.
Other sectors that are showing improvement are IT, fast-moving consumer goods and retail, it was noted.
However, Mr Hawes warned that despite the upturn in certain fields there is still likely to be a lot of competition among graduates looking for positions, as increasing numbers enter the market.
His comments followed the release of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation's latest JobsOutlook, which found many businesses intend to take on more permanent workers in 2011.
