Allianz Engineering has reminded businesses that it is important to ensure regular electrical inspections are carried out in the workplace in order to prevent fires.
The organisation urged firms to have equipment checked on a regular basis as each year such products cause more than 20,000 blazes.

His comments came following the Electrical Safety Council and local fire and rescue services' launch of Electrical Fire Safety Week 2011.
Sir Ken Knight, the government's chief fire and rescue adviser, warned individuals not to overload plug sockets and unplug items when they are not in use.
