Younger staff members working from serviced offices in Northampton, or in other jobs elsewhere, could be having a more difficult time than their older counterparts.
This is the suggestion of Kevin Friery, clinical director at Right Corecare, who noted that under-30s are more likely to work in places for the purpose of getting "a foot on the ladder", to "get a deposit for a mortgage" or to get "known" in a particular field.
They are having to "tread through mud", he asserted, doing work they do not consider ideal.
Mr Friery further stated that as people get older, the chances increase that they will be in a career they want.
These problems are compounded by lower wages, with recent data from the Institute for Employment Studies and Newsbeat showing that average income for under-30s recently fell much faster than other age groups'.
Between 2008 and 2010 this demographic suffered reductions in wages equivalent to £17 a week.
