Companies operating out of serviced offices in Northampton may want to take note of one expert's warnings about internet security.
Richard Moffitt, consultant systems engineer at web security solution provider Trusteer, explained how firms do not necessarily have to be directly involved in financial transactions to come under attack from malware.
Speaking at the Infosecurity Europe event, where IT professionals can learn about the latest anti-cyber crime technology, Mr Moffitt described how any organisations that deal with money are vulnerable.
"We're seeing numerous configurations trying to attack people in various ways, not only in banking but in online transactions," the specialist stated.
It was suggested that attempts to get into people's personal computers will spread as hackers look to utilise a range of private information.
The current trend is for attacks on those who use online banking to make payments and handle their money, it was noted by Mr Moffitt.
