Employees based at serviced offices in Edinburgh may want to take one expert's advice in order to boost their physical welfare.
Hermie Hogg a health and wellbeing consultant explained how it is vital that workers carry out simple exercises at their desk.
She suggested that people need to wriggle their toes in order to keep the circulation flowing to extremities and if possible take their shoes off when seated for a long period of time.
However, sitting correctly was highlighted as the most important habit office workers should be aware of.
"If you don't sit straight and properly in your chair, it does put pressure on all the organs lower down the body such as the bowels," Ms Hogg commented.
It was noted that many individuals slouch when working in front of a computer for a number of hours.
Elsewhere, Simply Health recently commended London-based company Headstrong UK for its commitment to looking after the wellbeing of its employees.
