Employers hiring staff to work in serviced offices in Edinburgh may want to take one expert's advice and ensure they have an online presence.
Paul Daley, director of HR consulting and services at recruitment outsourcing firm Ochre House, explained how the internet is the future of hiring.
He claimed that "archaic old experiences" are losing popularity as more businesses look to the web.
"If you're not online you'll probably be out of business pretty quickly because I don't know how you'll find anyone," Mr Daley remarked.
It was suggested that traditional recruitment methods are no longer the right way to assess prospective employees as they provide a poor experience for jobseekers.
Mr Daley also commented that younger candidates are far more likely to use the internet to search for vacancies.
One company that has taken this move towards online recruiting on-board is Primark, which recently announced it would be exclusively using the internet to fill positions in its new Scunthorpe store.
