Employees working at serviced offices in Edinburgh could receive a morale boost if they are offered free eye tests by their company.
This is according to optometrist Daska Barnett, who explained how businesses may notice their staff are more relaxed and cooperative.
"In terms of stress relief, morale boosting and people feeling that their employer is genuinely looking after them, it is a win-win situation for a very small amount of investment," she stated.
It was suggested that organisations make individuals aware that they are entitled to free eye examinations as they could see significant benefits from doing so.
Ms Barnett commented that implementing such a policy will also reflect well on the employer and ensure they are viewed in a positive light.
Recent research by Sight Care revealed that almost half of all people who spend more than five hours a day in front of a computer have not had their eyes tested in the last year.
