Introducing creative teams may be something those operating out of serviced offices in Edinburgh want to consider.
Speaking at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's HRD Conference, psychologist Mark Batey explained the benefits of such groups, People Management reports.
He described how harnessing creativity can increase the profit level of an organisation and is "crucial in the invention of new products and processes".
It was suggested that businesses pair staff with differing attributes to boost innovative thinking as these types of teams are "more efficient, better at problem solving, don't waste time, and often give better service".
Mr Batey also claimed that creativity programmes can help to improve employee engagement, as workers are encouraged to "exploit opportunities".
To begin the process, companies were recommended to diagnose each individual's resourceful capacity.
The HRD Conference provided delegates with tips and solutions across five key areas of Learning and Development in 30 different sessions.
