Companies operating out of serviced offices in Edinburgh could benefit from younger employees, it has been suggested.
Rachel Krys, director of Inclusive Employers, stated that it is vital organisations have a mix of ages in order to be well-rounded.
"Older workers can have a real settling, calming effect on the whole workforce, but you also need the people with the fresh ideas – and that might be younger people," she explained.
It was suggested that individuals who are new to business are unlikely to have experienced past failures and, as a result, will be more willing to take a risk.
Ms Krys described how taking on people with new thoughts can help to keep a company at the forefront of business.
Her comments follow the recent announcement by chancellor George Osborne that additional funding for apprenticeship places and work experience for young people will be provided in the next two years.
