Companies using serviced offices in Cardiff may want to ensure their contents insurance is up to date.
This is following research from Allianz Insurance, which found only 55 per cent of business are confident they have proper cover.
The study revealed that 34 per cent of organisations are unsure if they would receive payment for everything if they were to make a claim.
Meanwhile, 11 per cent said they "don't care" if they have adequate insurance as they feel they are unlikely to need it.
Andrew Torrance, chief executive of Allianz Insurance, explained that failing to have the enough cover in order to save money could end up costing companies more in the long run.
"The current precarious economic climate makes it even more important to have the right level of cover."
Allianz Insurance bought out Cornhill Insurance in 1986, which was first founded as a company dealing specifically with payouts for fire damage in 1905 by Willis Faber.
