Team bonding exercises may be a good way for employees at serviced offices in Cardiff to learn how to work together.
Penny Tamkin, associate director for the Institute of Employment Studies, explained how non-work related activities can sometimes be more beneficial than those related to an individual's daily responsibilities.
She described how organising an "off job" challenge can encourage staff to not take the exercise too seriously.
"That really helps if you are trying to get people to open up and be more like themselves. The fun stuff is a way of getting past a particular problem," Ms Tamkin stated.
It was suggested that an activity that brings lots of individuals together to focus on something really difficult, new and vastly different to their day job can have the desired bonding effect.
However, in a separate interview Ms Tamkin recently noted that some companies are moving away from events that are not work related as they feel they cannot be justified in the current economic climate.
