Manufacturing companies operating out of serviced offices in Cardiff may have noticed an improvement in the sector.
Ed Moss, spokesman for the Manufacturing Institute, explained that an "element of pride" is helping to boost sales of products developed in the UK.
He suggested that there is a "certain buoyancy around" with individuals buying British once again.
Mr Moss went on to add that organisations are looking at ways to save money and new ways of doing business.
"People are cottoning on to good business practices and it is improving manufacturing," the expert continued.
In conclusion, Mr Moss stated that the steady improvements are a "very positive" sign and reflect developments in comparison with six to eight months ago.
The comments follow recent figures released by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, which revealed that exports grew by five per cent in the fourth quarter of 2010 compared with the previous quarter.
