Serviced offices in Cardiff news: Housing association boosts productivity with new unit30th June 2011

The purchase of additional serviced offices in Cardiff has allowed one housing association to boost its productivity.

According to the Western Mail, Newydd Housing Association bought another unit next to its current premises at Greenmeadow Springs Business Park, enabling it to consolidate its workforce from the surrounding areas.

Chief executive of the organisation Paul Roberts said the move will facilitate its strategy for encouraging housing officers and maintenance professionals to spend more time on its estates.

"Having a central office also means we can dedicate a larger team of people to [answering] customer queries," he added.

The company, which was formed over 35 years ago, now has 8,500 sq ft of serviced office space in Cardiff, having extended its current allocation by 3,150 sq ft.

Mr Roberts stated that the majority of the association's staff from Barry and Pontypridd will be operating out of the new facility by today (June 30th).
