Companies operating out of serviced offices in Cardiff may want to take one expert's advice about flexibility in the workplace.
Phil Flaxton, chief executive officer of Work Wise UK, explained how both employers and staff need to acknowledge the importance of being adaptable during the current economic climate.
He described how smaller businesses could be forced to close down or relocate if their workforce refuses to accept pay freezes and withdraws its labour.
"[If] companies feel like they are having a gun held to their head, they will move offshore and move away from the UK," Mr Flaxton warned.
However, it was suggested that compared with previous recessions, employees and managers appear to be working together to be more flexible and "avoid massive redundancies".
Shirley Borrett, development director at the Telework Association, recently commented on the benefits of such employment, explaining that it can help staff to be more efficient and productive.
