Companies operating out of serviced offices in Cardiff may be interested to hear that calls have been placed upon the government to provide better assistance for organisations looking to export goods.
A spokesperson for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) explained how "red tape and bureaucracy" are holding a third of firms back.
It was suggested that "small businesses are keen to grow and exporting is one area where they are looking to expand", but these challenges make it difficult to do so.
The representative described how the FSB believes sending goods overseas could help drive economic growth in the next few years.
However, policies such as the Passport to Export Scheme need to provide more "tailored" information so small manufacturers are aware of the support available.
The comments follow the release of the recent HSBC Global Small Business Confidence Monitor that found 39 per cent of companies cited lack of knowledge and international connections as why they are yet to begin trading internationally.
