Employers may want to consider how to address workplace stress among their staff at serviced offices in Cardiff following comments made by one expert.
Stephen Overell, associate director of policy at the Work Foundation, explained how concerns about job insecurity are currently a widespread problem.
Another factor than can contribute to stress is the intense pressure of workloads, which may have increased as other employees are made redundant, he stated.
In order to reassure individuals, Mr Overell advised managers to provide "a supportive and positive climate for work".
It was also suggested that bosses ensure there is "efficient support" for workers who are given extra tasks as other individuals leave.
Mr Overell explained how there is evidence to imply that stress levels have risen since the recession and he described the trend as "concerning".
His comments follow a recent survey by Business Environment that found 56 per cent of people take less than 30 minutes for their lunch break as they feel pressured to work harder.
