Businesses working out of serviced offices in Cardiff may wish to consider the actions they can take to improve their sustainability, following recommendations made by an expert.
Dr Paula Owen, founder and director of environmental advisory organisation Paula Owen Consulting, said that firms of any size should examine their consumption of resources.
This will enable them to discover how to "best manage that and reduce" this, which will save them money, she asserted.
Ms Owen claimed many people "get a little bit confused with the word sustainability".
Every organisation should be involved in it as it will help them assure their financial survival in the long-term, the expert stated.
"There's a huge spectrum of things you can do", with some strategies being particularly expensive, Ms Owen noted, adding that initial costs may be saved through cheaper utility bills in the long-term.
Her comments follow research from the Federation of Small Businesses, which discovered 81 per cent of small enterprises are concerned about the growth in energy prices.
