People working in serviced offices in Cardiff may be interested to hear that the British Property Federation (BPF) has welcomed amendments to the government's localism bill.
The BPF, an organisation representing property investors and owners in the UK, said it is pleased the bill has now widened Neighbourhood Forum memberships to allow in businesses with local attachments.
Since the bill's publication, the BPF argued that businesses had a fundamental role in communities and had pushed for these changes.
Chief executive of the federation Liz Peace stated: "We are delighted that [the government has] listened to the concerns that have been put forward by the business community." She added that ministers had been very willing to discuss this issue.
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) had previously expressed their concern that the bill had missed out how integral small businesses were to local authorities.
It urged the government to ensure businesses had a say in the forums set up to encourage and protect an area's economic growth.
The localism bill aims to give communities and local governments more powers in areas such as planning and housing.
