Serviced offices in Cardiff should take advantage of apprenticeship schemes, which can leave them with an employee perfect for their business.
That is according to Sarah Clover, sales and marketing director for notgoingtouni.co.uk, who suggested that bosses can train schoo leavers based on their own needs and take them on once they have completed the course.
Loyalty to the company they have worked with is also common in apprentices, who are more likely to seek a position in the firm they have trained with when the apprenticeship comes to an end.
"Rather than just a good grounding in academic learning, you get somebody fresh from school who doesn't have any pre-conceived ideas about anything," Ms Clover explained.
Recent research by City & Guilds showed that 89 per cent of businesses see apprentices as vital to their operations in the next two years, with 52 per cent preferring school leavers to university graduates.
