Employees working in serviced offices in Cardiff may find that social media use becomes more commonplace in the near future.
This is following comments made by We Are Social managing partner Nathan MacDonald, who explained that more businesses are incorporating virtual networking into their systems.
He described how a number of organisations have begun implementing this model.
For example, he commented that "with conferences, people are willing to transfer the real-world conference into social media by asking people on Twitter to field questions".
Recent research by the Forum of Private Business found that although 52 per cent of members used social media in some capacity within their companies, 21 per cent described it as "not useful".
However, Mr MacDonald suggested that the increase in the use of mobile devices would be likely to help make access to such portals simpler and potentially make social networking in business more widespread.
