Opting for a serviced office may help businesses to comply with the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC EES).
The CRC EES is a mandatory scheme that aims to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency in large private and public sector organisations in the UK.
A serviced office could remove some of the burden of ensuring an office space in meeting environmental requirements.
Sonny Masero, vice president of ecoSoftware, said: "The use of a centralised management system rather than spreadsheets, emails and word documents means that errors can be minimised and the results can be easily verified."
He added it is important for firms faced with broader sustainability performance issues to identify and prioritise the environmental and social risks to their business.
The Department for Energy and Climate Change states organisations taking part will be required to monitor their emissions and purchase allowances, initially sold by government, for each tonne of CO2 they emit.
