A new insurance policy may be of interest to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) occupying serviced offices in Cardiff.
Insurance group Atradius has launched a trade credit protection package that ensures companies with a turnover of up to £10 million against the threat of insolvencies down the supply chain.
Pete Davies, country manager of Astradius, said: "SMEs are hit particularly hard when one of their customers goes insolvent. For some, it may be the final straw or their main customer which means that they are in serious trouble."
He stated that while it may be an uncomfortable truth, the issue of firms recording deep financial problems must be addressed because of the knock-on effect this can have.
SMEs opting for the new cover are being offered a five per cent discount for paying up front, in addition to a fixed price and a three-week cooling off period.
Earlier this month, Juan Lobat, chief executive of design software company Basekit noted small companies, including those in offices to rent, may be able to cut back on costs by designing their own website.
