Firms relocating to new offices to rent in Northampton are some of the companies that are advised to consider their line management practices.
This is "imperative" in assisting the workforce in coping with the change in location, according to managing director of Right Management Jayne Carrington.
She explained that the people in the leadership team, HR professionals and staff forums must be of a good quality at this time.
Successful change programmes "always say get a guiding coalition, a team of advocates and champions", the expert said, adding that these must have the respect of their colleagues and should communicate their beliefs and fears to members of the management.
Employees may eventually have their concerns dealt with and could come to realise that these alterations are "important and necessary", Ms Carrington concluded.
Her advice correlates with that of the Forum of Private Business spokesman Phil McCabe, who said that members of staff should always be involved when a firm relocates.
