People working out of offices to rent in Edinburgh might be interested to hear that an expert believes there is a strong correlation between workplace stress and employees' financial situations.
Terri Bodell, The Stress Doctor, stated that employment and money are "probably the two primary factors" in feeling this emotion and the ongoing threat of redundancy has exacerbated the pre-existing link between these causes.
As people spend a great deal of their waking lives at work, it becomes integral to them, she said, arguing that when companies send employees letters informing them they are at risk of redundancy, it puts them in a "state of flux".
"If they're made redundant they're losing their financial income - how are they going to cover everything?" she continued, describing it having a "knock-on effect" when people are already concerned about their economic situation.
This follows research from cancer charity Everyman, which discovered that the average adult in the UK spends around 36 minutes every day worrying about various issues.
