Small businesses operating out of offices to rent in Edinburgh may be interested to hear Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks have announced they will increase support to such companies.
Organisations with turnovers of less than £1 million are set to benefit from an expansion of services and products.
Meanwhile, those that borrow less than £250,000 could also see additional help.
Gary Lumby, director for small business at Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks, said: "We see a real opportunity to offer a credible alternative; establishing local relationships to help small businesses flourish, with local knowledge and services that suit their needs."
Under the new scheme, there will be a local "high street" presence that offers 24-hour telephone support and an online banking service.
Company owners will be able to seek face-to-face advice from a business manager or speak with the Business Direct team.
This follows a recent pledge by the banks to increase lending by £10 billion by the end of 2011.
