Companies operating out of offices to rent in Cardiff may want to follow one expert's advice on how to protect themselves from online security threats.
Ian Shaw, managing director of MWR InfoSecurity, explained how it is vital that businesses have thorough systems that can guard confidential information.
"The most important thing is an in-depth approach with multiple layers of security, so that even if there is a compromise, at worst it is only a partial compromise," he stated.
Organisations were advised that such systems can help to ensure sensitive details are encrypted.
Mr Shaw's comments follow the recent illegal breach of PlayStation user's personal information by an unauthorised individual accessing the network.
It was suggested by Mr Shaw that it is difficult to build a 100 per cent secure system, in particular when users are "cajoled into providing information".
Sony has assured people that it intends to fully investigate the incident and establish how individuals' information may have come to be compromised.
