Businesses may want to consider investing in data centre efficiency at offices to rent in Cardiff following claims it can help save funds.
Publisher at Green IT Magazine Josh Boulton stated that data centres use the equivalent energy of that which is supplied to 3,000 properties daily.
He explained that looking to make such systems more streamlined could help organisations to both reduce their costs and carbon footprint.
"It's the logical place to start and with oil prices climbing every day ... it's one area where ... you see an impact on your bottom line straight away," Mr Boulton commented.
The recent European Green IT Survey by Devoteam revealed that 90 per cent of companies list making data centres more efficient as a priority.
Mr Boulton suggested this form of energy saving would have a "quick impact" and achieve more than if the public were to switch to low-energy light bulbs.
