Offices to let can prove a good investment if assets are spread over a number of properties, it has been suggested.
Anthony Wyld, head of marketing at property investment firm Tritax, said entrepreneurs should look at working with a number of buildings, rather than putting money into open-ended funds.
"Certain sectors within the commercial property sector still offer very good opportunities for capital growth and a good yield, especially if [they are] actively managed," he commented.
Commercial property recently broke into the top five selling investment classes, but the sector is still showing a low rate of monthly change, Tritax cautioned.
And business people seeking new assets might wish to consider office space to let as a possible outlet.
Earlier this month, Chris Staveley, head of pan-European office and industrial capital markets at Jones Lang LaSalle, stated indicators of economic recovery are beginning to positively affect the demand for office space.
He was remarking on the latest report from the real estate firm, which showed office take-up in Europe increased by six percentage points between the first and second quarter of this year.
