A new report has found that managers believe senior company directors are out of touch with employees, news which may be of interest to those operating out of serviced offices in Edinburgh.
Leadership institute Roffey Park conducted the survey, which revealed many workers feel senior staff live in a "boardroom bubble".
On most issues it was found that managers were less positive than those in higher positions.
For example, directors said they felt more secure in their job and were optimistic about the future.
In comparison, managers were found to be more stressed and unhappy with their work-life balance.
Jo Hennessy, director of research at Roffey Park, said: "Many senior executives are living in their own world, which has a distinctly rosy hue, for their positive view is out of sync with the concerns and challenges of managers."
The charitable trust aims to help promote innovative learning that will help individuals to achieve their potential both in and out of the workplace.
