Directors looking for office space to rent in Edinburgh may wish to print a picture of themselves on their business cards.
Appearancemanagement.co.uk proprietor Angela Marshall said this helps people to remember the individual and heightens the card's effectiveness.
It is important not to put too much information on them and only "the key things" - such as websites, email addresses, further contact details and full names - should be used, she continued.
Ms Marshall added that photographs ought to also be put on social media profiles - such as Facebook - and on corporate websites, calling this "quite important".
People examine these pages when considering hiring someone for a job, she pointed out.
The image consultant noted that doing this helps workers represent themselves effectively and can "help people to know" them.
She had previously asserted that business cards are similar to how an individual dresses and other ways they present themselves, claiming they indicate facets of a personality to observers.
