Managers looking for office space to rent in Edinburgh may wish to limit the number of meetings they hold with their staff, after one expert called these events unproductive.
Al Pittampalli, author of Read This Before Our Next Meeting, said workers are "really frustrated" by them because they "get in the way" of projects being completed.
The reason individuals dislike these occasions is therefore not necessarily due to their colleagues being unprepared or turning up late, the expert stated.
Rather than being a tool to promote synergy and coordination between employees in an enterprise, they are now a "delaying factor where momentum goes to die", he continued.
People in a company wish to make a difference and "do something that matters" and meetings prevent this from occurring, Mr Pittampalli noted.
Productivity can also be enhanced in an organisation by enabling staff to engage in flexible working, CIPD employee relations adviser Mike Emmott recently claimed.
