Businesses contemplating a move to a serviced office might want to consider recent figures that suggest a boost in Manchester property investment.

Some £316.7 million was plunged into the north-west office market during the first sixth months of 2010, a report published by CB Richard Ellis revealed.

This figure marks a significant increase on the same period last year, which saw a spend of £46 million.

Rehan Zaman, associate director of capital markets at CB Richard Ellis North West, said: "The recovery in Manchester has been stronger than in other regional cities as vacant space has become so limited, creating scope for real rental growth."

He added Manchester has become a popular choice for investors looking for office space outside London.

Therefore, those on the lookout for office space to rent might wish to consider locations other than the capital.

Recently, a report from Jones Lang LaSalle demonstrated office take-up in Europe increased by six percentage points during the second quarter of 2010.
