Employers based in serviced offices in Northampton who are worried about the productivity of their home workers need not be, according to a new report.
Labelling solutions provider Dymo carried out the study, which looked into how the two different types of employees spend their days.
It was revealed that although many people imagine those who work in the comfort of their home are lounging around in their pyjamas, this is rarely true.
A spokesperson for the company said: "'While it might seem like it's easier to shy away from work when you aren't in the office, it can actually mean that many are working harder to prove themselves to their boss."
Of the 3,000 workers questioned, a significant number of home-based individuals remarked that they felt they were stricter with their output when not at their place of work.
Dymo was founded in 1958 in California and provides a range of products for use in offices.
