Employers at serviced offices in Cardiff may want to follow one expert's advice and help to encourage their staff to get fit.
Dr Doug Wright, head of Clinical Services at Aviva UK Health, explained how many individuals plan to start January by working towards a healthy life plan.
Research carried out by the firm found that almost three quarters (73 per cent) of staff start the new year with the intention of making a change, but 80 per cent fail by the end of the month.
However, it was suggested that making a commitment to helping employees stay motivated through workplace initiatives could be beneficial to organisations.
"Evidence shows that a healthy, happy workforce offers many positive benefits," Dr Wright stated.
Business Link suggests companies consider installing showering facilities, a bicycle rack, subsidising gym memberships or organising fun runs, as these can all help to encourage people to move about.
