Firms using serviced offices in Northampton could benefit by increasing their understanding of how to implement flexible employment hours in the workplace.
Phil Flaxton, chief executive of Work Wise UK, recognised while some companies are not fully behind the government's plans to extend employees' rights to decide when they work, this is the path employment is taking in the UK.
"What lies behind this [and] is key to its ongoing success is a greater understanding by some employers about how to implement flexible working," Mr Flaxton said.
He added there are already plenty of examples showing large companies that have been able to introduce flexible working measures for their staff without resulting in any widespread disruption.
Last week, employment relations minister Edward Davey announced a consultation will take place later this year to consider how all employees could request the right to choose which hours they work.
He added parents of all children under 18 would be entitled to flexible working hours from April 2011 – a move nearly 300,000 people will benefit from.
