Businesses in serviced offices might wish to make environmentally-friendly changes after it was suggested an increasing number of firms are doing so.
Euan Murray, general manager of the Carbon Trust Footprinting Company, said companies are looking to meet environmental standards and reduce costs.
"Energy use is often an emissions hotspot so investing in products that use less energy, or help conserve energy, is becoming more common than ever," he remarked.
Businesses should work with experts to identify where their emissions are coming from, Mr Murray continued, as it is important to recognise where the biggest savings can be made.
He added firms can benefit from investing in energy-efficient equipment, such as the Dyson Airblade hand dryer, but should check products carry the Carbon Reduction Label.
This demonstrates the manufacturer is committed to reducing the emissions of the product.
Environment minister Lord Henley recently announced the government wants to work with companies to help them recycle more of their waste.
