Businesses in serviced offices in Edinburgh may wish to make changes to their advertising budget, following comments from one expert.
David Davis, managing director at RedFly Marketing, said the enthusiasm for online promotion among UK firms remains strong.
The internet is making up a "significant" part of advertising expenditure, he continued, as people realise that ignoring this outlet would be foolish.
Mr Davis remarked although not all of a company's promotional spend can go on the internet, "larger advertisers that have shifted at least some budget online may have been shocked at how accountable it is".
The travel and services sectors in particular have been moving their funds towards online marketing in recent times, he stated.
Mr Davis added the benefits of this type of advertising can be seen in the number of high street travel agents that have closed over the last two years because they stuck to traditional methods.
A recent report from comScore revealed nine of the top ten UK online advertising networks saw a growth in unique visitors in July, which could give organisations in serviced offices further motivation to invest in internet marketing.
