Firms in serviced offices in Cardiff may decide to take steps to prevent disruption being caused to their business as a result of the weather.
Chief executive of ThinkGrid Rob Lovell said businesses should be looking towards cloud computing in an effort to keep productivity at the same level.
He stated that by providing employees with services such as phones and hosted desktops that can be accessed no matter where they are in the world, companies can ensure staff are able to continue working as normal despite not being able to reach the office.
"Cloud computing essentially removes the barriers of the traditional office by allowing employees to work from anywhere, sharing and collaboration of data and applications," Mr Lovell noted.
By introducing these services into the workplace adverse weather conditions, substandard travel or any other impacts on productivity do not have to impact a firms' performance, he added.
According to the Met Office, the coming week is set to see snow and icy conditions affecting many parts of the UK.
