Businesses - including those in serviced offices - might see a rise in unrest among staff during the coming months, it has been suggested.
Phil Flaxton, chief executive offer of not-for-profit organisation Work Wise UK, said the employment market is heading into a period of uncertainty as a result of general doubt about the strength of the UK economy.
This could cause the current trend in job-related legal cases to continue to rise, he commented.
Contact Law, the find-a-solicitor service, recently reported a 15 per cent increase in the number of people seeking employment-based legal help in July, compared to the previous month.
And this rise is largely down to staff having to work unpaid overtime because of pressures on companies, especially small and medium-sized businesses, Mr Flaxton remarked.
He added: "I suspect that some staff would react to that [by] trying to bring some kind of legal action against their employer."
Organisations in serviced offices might wish to consider these issues when negotiating their time pressures.
