Companies in serviced offices might like to take the advice of one business expert, who has claimed good communication between managers and employees is crucial to staff motivation.
Petra Wilton, director of policy and research at the Chartered Management Institute, said communication affects workers' performance and productivity.
"[Employees] are driven by really understanding the company vision and having a sense of purpose in terms of what can be done," she continued.
Ms Wilton remarked team bonding days can be a good way for bosses to rebuild communication with their staff, as they give managers the opportunity to re-engage workers with the company strategy.
It is important for employees to get away from their day-to-day tasks on occasion, she added, because they can be distracted from the bigger picture by delivering targets.
And firms in serviced offices might like to implement these strategies in order to improve staff motivation.
Research recently conducted by chrysaliscourses.co.uk found a third of people feel unappreciated in their job.
