Bosses in rented offices in Cardiff may want to take one expert's advice and find ways to engage their staff in order to prevent them leaving.
Mike Emmott, employee relations adviser at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, explained that many individuals seek out new jobs as a result of feeling underappreciated by their managers.
He said: "Younger workers in particular are more demanding about what they feel they are entitled to expect from their job … and are willing to change their job in order to get it."
It was suggested that displaying an interest in employees and seeking to inspire them can help to motivate and thus retain individuals.
Mr Emmott recommended bosses give plenty of feedback on performance and reassure staff that their presence and hard work is important.
His comments follow a recent survey by First Direct, which found 28 per cent of people have moved jobs as a result of disliking their employer.
