Managers in serviced offices in Northampton may want to consider team building exercises to unite their staff.
Penny Tamkin, associate director for the Institute of Employment Studies, explained that organising such events can help to bring individuals together.
She described how team building can be particularly effective for companies that have been recently established or where workers do not know each other very well.
It was suggested that carrying out activities as a group can help to establish a "degree of trust and understanding" among employees and "build better relationships".
Ms Tamkin claimed that working on team exercises can be effective at all levels of an organisation, from the senior managers to the lower levels of the company.
"It's helpful if, for whatever reason, a team just isn't getting on," the expert concluded.
Elsewhere, Carole Spiers, chief executive of the Carole Spiers Group, recently commented that providing staff with healthy foods can help increase their motivation and output levels.
