Small businesses operating out of serviced offices in Northampton may want to consider investing in smartphones following one expert's comments.
Martin Lyne, director of SME marketing at T-Mobile, explained how mobile technology is an easy way for workers to stay in touch with clients.
"Small businesses need to be flexible and available at all times, regardless of whether in the office or on the road," he commented.
It was suggested that having access to information while travelling is "becoming increasingly important in all walks of life".
Mr Lyne described how smartphones allow individuals to check data that would usually only be accessible via computers.
For example, he noted that addresses, contracts, Google Maps and emails can all be viewed by employees that carry such technology, regardless of where they are.
In the US, Clickatell recently launched an SMS package designed especially for small companies so they can easily interact with customers using text messages.
